Pontevedra and surrounding area

Tour itinerary

• Depart city Santiago de Compostela (also available from other cities or cruise ship ports by prior arrangement).

• Stop 1. Our first stop of the day is in Barro to visit the areas natural park and restored grain mills.
• Stop 2. Next it is over to Poio to visit the still active Monastery of Poio dated back to the 7th century.
• Stop 3. Then it is over to Combarro, a quaint fishing port town where time seems to have stood still.



• Stop 4. Break for lunch, a three course delicious Galician lunch accompanied by some wine of the region D.O. Rias Biaxas.
• Stop 5. After lunch we head over to the city of Pontevedra, to spend some time walking the famous old town learning of its rich history.
• Days end, drive back.
