Depart city Santiago (also available from other cities or cruise ship ports by prior arrangement within Galicia).
Stop 1. Our first stop is in Barro to visit the areas beautiful natural park and restored grain mills.
Stop 2. Then we make our way to Soutomaior to visit its famous medieval castle. The castle was built in the 12th century by the Soutomaior family. It overlooks the Verdugo river valley. The castle is complete with its own chapel and hosts a beautiful garden with chestnut trees that are over 800 years old.
Stop 3. We then stop in Arcade oyster capital of Galicia to enjoy a delicious three course Galician lunch accompanied by local wines.
Stop 4. After lunch we head over to the city of Pontevedra, here we will spend the afternoon enjoying all that we can of this very historically and culturally rich city. We will visit the Museum of Pontevedra, the Iglesia de Santa Maria, the ruins of Santo Domingo, the Plaza de Tuecro, the Plaza de Ferreria, and enjoy some famous Spanish tapas in the parte Antigua (old town).
Days end back to Santiago.
