Galicia has two international airports, one 10 km outside the capital city of Santiago de Compostela and the other on the outskirts of la Coruna, some 45 minutes from Santiago.

Direct flights from the UK use the carriers

Their routes are as follows

• Ryanair fly daily from Stansted, London, to Santiago de Compostela and three times per week from Liverpool to Santiago de Compostela. A new direct route from East Midlands airport (Birmingham) to Santiago de Compostela will commence in spring 2007 flying 3 times per week.
• Iberia fly direct from London Heathrow to la Coruna airport daily.
• There are no direct flights from the USA and north America to Galicia, but some carriers do fly direct to Spain from where an easy connection can be made to Santiago de Compostela or la Coruna airports from Madrid or Barcelona.
