Ribeira Sacra Sacred Riverbanks three days Galicia Interior

Tour itinerary (3 days in duration)

DAY 1 - River Sil (Ourense )

• Depart city Santiago (also available from other cities or cruise ship ports by prior arrangement within Galicia).

• Stop 1. Visit the incredible Monastery of San Estevo de Ribas de Sil which dates back to the 12th century.
• Stop 2. Going into the woods of the forest Esgos we will find one on the oldest monasteries of Galicia, San Pedro de Rocas

• Stop 3. Stop and enjoy a three course lunch typical of the region accompanied by local wine from the famous Amandi area of the D.O. Ribeira Sacra.
• Stop 4. Heading again along the river Sil and enjoying the views our next stop is Santa Cristina de Ribas de Sil Monastery dated back to the 9th century and earlier.
• Stop 5. Next it's over to the Balconies of Madrid.



• Stop 6. Our next stop is Castro Caldelas here we will visit its medieval castle and museum.
• Stop 7. Days end head back to the Pazo, where we will enjoy a home cook meal and enjoy the Pazo's beautiful grounds and charming surroundings.

DAY 2 - River Minho (Lugo)

• Stop 1. After enjoying our breakfast, we start the day visiting San Estevo de Minho, noted for its beautiful rose window.
• Stop 2. Next we will make our way to Monforte de Lemos, a town in the provenience of Lugo considered the gateway of the Ribeira Sacra region.



• Stop 3. Enjoy a beautiful three course Galician lunch while enjoying some of the regions wine.
• Stop 4. Next we make our way to Doade where we will embark the Catamaran and spend the next couple of hours travelling through the spectacular canyons of the Ribeira Sacra learning of the areas legends and history.
• Stop 5. After our boat ride we will visit a local winery to enjoy a wine tasting.
• Stop 6. We will then head over to visit 1000 year old chestnut trees and stop at a view lookout point for a stunning photos opportunity.



• Days end we head back to our Pazo where we will enjoy dinner and its lovely grounds and charm.

DAY 3 ORENSE - RIBADAVIA

• Stop 1. After enjoying our breakfast we will spend the morning in the great city of Orense enjoying all that this city has to offer such as; its old town with medieval buildings, beautiful plazas, las Burgas spa, the cathedral of "San Martino" and the Roman Bridge.
• Stop 2. We will stop to enjoy a typical three course Galician lunch accompanied by some delicious Ribero wine from a local winery.



• Stop 3. In the afternoon we will spend our time in the beautiful city of Ribadavia, discovering the magic of this medieval splendour. We will visit its churches and manor houses while learning of its legends. We will enjoy some typical Galician tapas and visit the old Jewish quarter of the city.
• Day and trip ends, back to Santiago
